Resolve, to Study the Confidentiality of Information Regarding Persons Receiving Services Funded in Whole or in Part by the Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Services

     Sec. 1. Study. Resolved: That the Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Services shall study the confidentiality of information regarding persons receiving services funded in whole or in part by the department and shall report back its findings and any recommended legislation to the Joint Standing Committee on Health and Human Services by December 1, 2000. The Joint Standing Committee on Health and Human Services may report out legislation based on the report to the First Regular Session of the 120th Legislature. The study must include participation from consumers and providers of services, Legislators and local service networks. The study must consider the requirements of professional ethical standards and state and federal laws, rules and regulations.

Effective September 18, 1999, unless otherwise indicated.
