Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. Appropriation. The following funds are appropriated from the General Fund to carry out the purposes of this Act.
1998-99
HUMAN SERVICES, DEPARTMENT OF
Congregate Housing
All Other $400,000
Provides funds for supportive services for residents of low to moderate income assisted living apartments in the Bangor area to serve the needs of residents in Eastern and Northern Maine. The department must issue a request for proposal for these services.
Purchased Social Services
All Other $150,000
Provides funds to area agencies on aging for priority social services programs for home support.

TOTAL $550,000
Sec. 2. Allocation. The following funds are allocated from Other Special Revenue to carry out the purposes of this Act.

Bureau of Medical Services
All Other ($250,000)
Deallocates funds to accurately reflect certain license fee revenue as General Fund revenue in accordance with the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 22, section 1815.
Effective July 9, 1998.
