Sec. ZZ-1. Compensation authorized. Notwithstanding any other provisions of law, the Governor is authorized and directed, upon receipt of appropriate releases, to pay $125,000 from the Risk Management Fund to compensate Dan Corey and Nu Seed Corporation of Monticello for damages suffered as a result of decertification of their 1996 seed potato crop by the Department of Agriculture, Food and Rural Resources. This payment is in full settlement and satisfaction of any and all claims by Dan Corey and Nu Seed Corporation against the State, the Department of Agriculture, Food and Rural Resources
and present or former employees of the State for those damages.
