Sec. V-1. PL 1991, c. 121, Pt. A, §7 is repealed.
Sec. V-2. Calculation and transfer. Notwithstanding the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 5, section 1585, the State Budget Officer shall calculate the amounts in section 3 of this Part that apply against each account for all departments and agencies based on the number of current state employees who were not compensated when employed by the State on May 10, 1991 or May 24, 1991 and who were not compensated for either of those days or for another day or days during the affected pay cycles and shall transfer the calculated amounts by financial order. These transfers are to be considered adjustments to appropriations and allocations. The State Budget Officer is authorized to adjust allotments in accounts in other funds to meet the additional personal services expenditures. On or before June 15, 1998 and June 15,1999, the State Budget Officer shall report on the implementation of this Part to the joint standing committee of the Legislature having jurisdiction over appropriations and financial affairs.
Sec. V-3. Appropriation. The following funds are appropriated from the General Fund to carry out the purposes of this Part.
