Sec. QQQQ-1. 22 MRSA §3174-GG is enacted to read:

§3174-GG.__MaineCare reimbursement for ambulance services

Beginning January 1, 2006, the department shall conduct an annual review of MaineCare reimbursement rates paid for ambulance services.__The rates must be adjusted annually to a level that is not less than the average allowable reimbursement rates under Medicare for such services.

Sec. QQQQ-2. Appropriations and allocations. The following appropriations and allocations are made.

Initiative: Appropriates and allocates funds to increase MaineCare reimbursement for ambulance services to a level not less than the average allowable Medicare reimbursement rates for such services.
