Fiscal Detail and Notes
The bill includes General Fund appropriations to the Department of Health and Human Services of $37,589,174 in fiscal year 2023-24 and $37,794,707 in fiscal year 2024-25 to increase eligibility and wages for child care services and to implement improvements to child care subsidies and to establish one Social Services Program Specialist II position, one Social Services Manager I position and 2 Financial Resource Specialist II positions to handle the increased workload in the program.
Additional costs to the Department of Labor and the Department of Education associated with the provisions in this legislation can be absorbed within existing budgeted resources.
