Fiscal Detail and Notes
This bill includes ongoing General Fund appropriations totaling $700,000 per year beginning in fiscal year 2022-23 to the University of Maine System.  Of this amount, $500,000 per year is appropriated for the establishment of a labor and community education center at the University of Southern Maine to provide labor education and outreach and $200,000 per year is appropriated to the Bureau of Labor Education at the University of Maine to expand the capacity for applied research, ongoing labor history and customized education programs for the organized and unorganized labor force in Maine.
