Removing a
requirement that the Commission on Governmental Ethics and Election Practices
(the Commission) biennially adjust the amount of distributions made from the
Maine Clean Election Fund based on the Consumer Price Index would reduce
anticipated spending by $380,725 in fiscal year 2021-22 and by $280,750 in
fiscal year 2022-23. Allocations to the Commission would need to be reduced
accordingly. |
