Fiscal Detail and Notes
This bill would allow the director of the Bureau of Parks and Lands within the Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry to appoint state park staff with law enforcement authority. The bill also specifies that only staff who request this appointment may be appointed to these positions. An estimate of the number of staff who might request additional enforcement authority is not made at this time. Staff who request additional enforcement authority may require additional training. If the number of staff exceeds the current training funding, additional funding may be required.
