Current biennium cost increase - "sending" local school administrative units
Fiscal Detail and Notes
Current law provides that schools receiving tuition students who are also enrolled in regular school day career and technical education (CTE) programs at CTE centers, satellites or CTE regions may only charge a sending school a tuition rate of up to 2/3 of the maximum tuition rate unless a school board votes to pay a higher rate under certain circumstances pursuant to Title 20-A, section 5806, sub-section 3.  This legislation repeals that provision and permits any school receiving tuition students to charge the full tuition rate, which increases costs to those sending schools that would be charged the full tuition rate.
