The Maine Lobster
Marketing Collaborative was unintentionally repealed on October 1, 2021
because the legislation to postpone that repeal (LD 338) was not effective
until October 18, 2021. This bill
reestablishes the collaborative and is retroactive back to October 1,
2021. As the allocations related to the collaborative were never deallocated
by legislation and still exist in the accounting system, no additional
allocations are required now to allow the collaborative to continue to
function. The new repeal date is set at December 31, 2026. |
