Provides an
appropriation of $250,000 per year beginning in 2020-21 to the Legislature
for the costs of the Legislature to contract on an ongoing basis with the
University of Maine System to establish and maintain the Maine Workforce,
Research, Development and Student Achievement Institute. |

Additional costs
to the Departments of Labor, Professional and Financial Regulation, Economic
and Community Development, the State Workforce Board, the University of Maine
System, the Maine Community College System, the State Economist and the
Finance Authority of Maine to serve on the steering committee can be absorbed
within existing budgeted resources. |
