|
This bill
includes General Fund appropriations totaling $925,000 in fiscal year 2019-20
and $325,000 in fiscal year 2020-21 to the Maine State Library to support
resource sharing services for Maine's libraries. Of these amounts, $600,000 in one-time
funds is appropriated in fiscal year 2019-20 to accelerate libraries' access
to the Maine statewide catalog ($500,000) and for an in-depth analysis of
statewide library services and resource sharing ($100,000). Additionally, $325,000 in ongoing funds is
for increased costs associated with the Van Delivery and Interlibrary Lending
program ($75,000 per year) and for increased access to educational, career
and economic development content with the Digital Maine Library ($250,000 per
year) |
