  | Fiscal Detail
  and Notes | | | | | |

  | | This bill
requires certain school administrative units (SAU's) to operate an
alternative breakfast delivery service that provides breakfast after the
start of the school day unless the governing body of an SAU votes to opt out
of the alternative breakfast delivery program after certain conditions are
met. A "one-time" nonlapsing General Fund appropriation of $500,000
in fiscal year 2019-20 was provided in Public Law 2019, chapter 480 (LD 701)
  for this purpose. |

  | | This fiscal note
assumes that the public hearings required to be held in order for a school
administrative unit to opt out of the alternative breakfast delivery service
will be held during a regularly scheduled meeting of the local SAU's
governing board and that the required public notice will be provided as part
of the regular notice of a meeting of the governing board. |
