Amend the bill by adding after section 2 the following:
‘Sec. 3. Application. This Act applies only to causes of action that accrue on or after January 1, 2020.’
Amend the bill by relettering or renumbering any nonconsecutive Part letter or section number to read consecutively.
SUMMARY
This amendment is the majority report of the Joint Standing Committee on Judiciary. It adds an application section to provide that the longer notice period applies prospectively and only to causes of action that accrue on or after January 1, 2020.
