An Act Concerning Liability for Direct Reimbursement of Unemployment Benefits
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 26 MRSA §1221, sub-§10, ¶H is enacted to read:
H. A governmental entity who elects to make payments in lieu of contributions into the unemployment compensation fund as provided in this section is not liable to make such payments with respect to benefits paid to any individual who voluntarily separates from employment.
