Amend the bill by striking out the title and substituting the following:

‘An Act To Allow a Class III Lobster and Crab Fishing License Holder To Engage More Crew Members’

Amend the bill by striking out everything after the enacting clause and inserting the following:

‘Sec. 1. 12 MRSA §6421, sub-§3-A, ¶C, as amended by PL 2013, c. 282, §3, is further amended to read:

C. A Class III license authorizes the license holder to engage in the licensed activities under subsection 2. A Class III license holder may engage 2 4 unlicensed crew members to assist in the licensed activities under the direct supervision of the Class III license holder, except as provided in section 6445-A.’

Amend the bill by relettering or renumbering any nonconsecutive Part letter or section number to read consecutively.

This amendment replaces the title and the bill. It increases from 2 to 4 the number of unlicensed crew members a Class III lobster and crab fishing license holder may engage to assist in licensed activities.
