Allowing
municipalities to remove beach-cast seaweed under certain circumstances
without obtaining a permit from the Department of Environmental Protection
(DEP) may reduce the number of permits issued over time by a small number.
Any savings from reduced workload at the DEP or revenue loss from fewer
permit fees are expected to be minor. |
