Joint Order, Directing the Joint Standing Committee on Environment and Natural Resources To Report Out a Bill Regarding the Paris Agreement on Climate Change

ORDERED, the House concurring, that the Joint Standing Committee on Environment and Natural Resources report out a bill to the Senate that requires the State to:

1. Implement measures designed to meet, as practicable and on a state level, the broad goals of the Paris Agreement on climate change signed by the United States on April 22, 2016 and entered into force on November 4, 2016, referred to in this order as "the Paris Agreement," including measures to reduce carbon emissions within the time limits proposed in the Paris Agreement; or

2. Join with any other states that have formed a coalition to implement and comply with the goals of the Paris Agreement.
