An Act Regarding the Motor Vehicle Inspection Program Requirements for New Rental Vehicles First Registered in Maine
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 29-A MRSA §1771 is enacted to read:
§ 1771. Inspection of new motor vehicles for rent
Notwithstanding the provisions of section 1751, subsection 1, the initial inspection of a new motor vehicle for rent is valid for 2 years or until the motor vehicle accrues 36,000 miles, whichever occurs earlier. For purposes of this section, "new motor vehicle" has the same meaning as in Title 10, section 1171, subsection 13.
