An Act To Dedicate All Money Raised from the Moose Lottery and Permits to Research and Management of Moose
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 12 MRSA §10206, sub-§8, as enacted by PL 2003, c. 414, Pt. A, §2 and affected by c. 614, §9, is repealed.
Sec. 2. 12 MRSA §11154, sub-§11, as amended by PL 2011, c. 370, §9, is repealed.
Sec. 3. 12 MRSA §11154, sub-§14, ¶G, as enacted by PL 2013, c. 538, §24, is repealed.
Sec. 4. 12 MRSA §11154, sub-§16 is enacted to read:
16. Dedication of proceeds. Except for the clerk or agent fee under subsection 6, all proceeds received under this section must be deposited in the Moose Research and Management Fund under section 10263.
SUMMARY
This bill requires that all proceeds derived from the sale of moose permits be dedicated to the Moose Research and Management Fund.
