Amend the resolution by striking out the title and substituting the following:
‘RESOLUTION, Proposing an Amendment to Article X of the Constitution of Maine Regarding the Publication of Omitted Sections, Including Maine Indian Treaty Obligations’
Amend the resolution by striking out the amending instructions and all of Section 7 (page 1, lines 4 to 10 in L.D.) and inserting the following: 'Constitution, Art. X, §7 is repealed.'
Amend the resolution in the referendum question in the 2nd line (page 1, line 19 in L.D.) by striking out the following: "Section" and inserting the following: 'Sections 1, 2 and'
SUMMARY
This amendment is the minority report of the Joint Standing Committee on Judiciary. It amends the resolution to repeal all of Article X, Section 7, resulting in the inclusion of the omitted sections, Sections 1, 2 and 5 of Article X, when a printed copy of the Constitution of Maine is prefixed to the Laws of Maine.
