An Act To Extend Fall Fishing Opportunities
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 12 MRSA §12456, sub-§1-B is enacted to read:
1-B. Limited season. The commissioner shall establish a limited season for fishing from October 1st to October 31st. A person who holds a valid Maine fishing license may catch fish during the limited season only if the fish is immediately returned to the water in which it was caught.
