The bill includes
allocations to the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) of $56,768
in fiscal year 2015-16 and $75,690 in fiscal year 2016-17 to establish the
Private Well Safe Drinking Water Fund for technology updates, educational
material updates and educational outreach. The Maine Environmental Health
Laboratory within DHHS will collect $56,768 in fiscal year 2015-16 and
$75,690 in fiscal year 2016-17 from a fee, not to exceed $10 dollars, on
residential private drinking water well tests. |
