This bill includes Other Funds allocations of $99,861 in fiscal year 2015-16 and $292,196 in fiscal year 2016-17 to the Competitive Skills Scholarship Program within the Department of Labor for one CareerCenter Consultant position in fiscal year 2015-16 and an additional CareerCenter Consultant position in fiscal year 2016-17 and related all other costs, including tuition, to support the expansion of the Competitive Skills Scholarship Program to eligible secondary students in public secondary schools.
This legislation caps annual expenditures, including tuition, administrative and other allowable costs and case management related to this provision at no more than 15% of the annual revenue deposited into the Competitive Skills Scholarship Fund.  Had this legislation been in place during fiscal year 2013-14 the cap on expenditures would have been approximately $500,000.
