Amend the bill in section 3 in subsection 5-A by striking out all of the 2nd blocked paragraph (page 1, lines 36 and 37 in L.D.)

Amend the bill in section 5 in subsection 11 by striking out all of paragraph A (page 2, line 8 in L.D.) and inserting the following:

A Family care throughout the family members' lifespans;

Amend the bill in section 5 in subsection 11 by striking out all of paragraph E (page 2, line 12 in L.D.) and inserting the following:

E Women's health and gender-related care; and

Amend the bill in section 12 in §2205-C in subsection 7 by striking out all of paragraph D (page 5, line 6 in L.D.) and inserting the following:

D Prescribe, order, administer, dispense and furnish therapeutic measures. For purposes of this paragraph, a certified registered nurse anesthetist may prescribe schedule II, III, IIIN, IV and V prescription drugs under this subsection only:

(1) For a supply of not more than 4 days with no refills; and

(2) To an individual for whom the certified registered nurse anesthetist has, at the time of the prescription, established a client or patient record.

For the purposes of this paragraph, schedule II, III, IIIN, IV and V prescription drugs are those designated as such pursuant to the federal Controlled Substances Act of 1970, 21 United States Code, Section 812;

This amendment is the minority report of the committee. It makes changes to the section of the bill that defines the population focus for an advanced practice registered nurse and changes the section of the bill regarding the scope of practice to allow a certified registered nurse anesthetist to prescribe schedule II, III, IIIN, IV and V prescription drugs for a supply of not more than 4 days to individuals with whom the certified registered nurse anesthetist has established a client or patient record.
