An Act Regarding the Payment of Commissions by Car Rental Companies
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 24-A MRSA §1420-L, sub-§5 is enacted to read:
5. Motor vehicle rental company. A motor vehicle rental company in compliance with and licensed pursuant to section 1413, subsection 8 may pay an employee selling insurance in connection with and incidental to the rental of a motor vehicle a commission or other valuable consideration.
