Amend the amendment in section 2 in subsection 2 by striking out all of the first paragraph (page 3, lines 29 and 30 in amendment) and inserting the following:
‘2. The work group shall consider at least the following elements in developing the school accountability system:’
Amend the amendment in section 2 by striking out all of subsection 3 (page 4, lines 4 and 5 in amendment)
Amend the bill in section 2 by renumbering the subsections to read consecutively.

This amendment requires the school accountability work group to consider at least certain specified elements in developing the school accountability system. It also removes the provision that prohibits the school accountability system from using a bell curve and prohibits a school from being penalized because of the failure of students to take certain standardized tests.
