This floor
amendment increases the tax on net slot machine income from 35% to 40% (an
additional 2% to the General Fund, an additional 2% to the Coordinated
Veterans Assistance Fund and 1% to the City of Bangor) and limits the number
of table games to 5. These changes
will increase General Fund revenue by $413,545 and Other Special Revenue
Funds revenue by $401,318. The
amendment also requires a one-time privilege fee of $250,000 and a one-time
license fee of $5,000,000, increasing General Fund revenues by $5,250,000. |
