An Act To Allow the Town of Bancroft To Withdraw from Its Regional School Unit without Penalty

Sec. 1. Exemption from requirements for withdrawal by the Town of Bancroft from its regional school unit. Notwithstanding the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 20-A, section 1466, the Commissioner of Education shall authorize the Town of Bancroft to withdraw from its regional school unit and be exempt from penalties and reorganization requirements because the reason for withdrawal is that the town has filed legislation with the Legislature for approval to deorganize.
