Resolve, To Direct Eastern Maine Community College To Create Industry-specific Workplace Transition Educational Programming

Sec. 1. Eastern Maine Community College to develop pilot project to create industry-specific workplace transition educational programming. Resolved: That, by September 1, 2014, Eastern Maine Community College shall develop a pilot project to create industry-specific workplace transition educational programming. The pilot project must involve local secondary schools and businesses in creating transition educational programming for students to develop skills specific to local businesses, with the transition educational programming to begin at one or more secondary schools and continue at Eastern Maine Community College. The goal of the pilot project is to ensure that graduating students from Eastern Maine Community College possess skills that can be immediately used by the local businesses who hire the students.
