An Act To Raise the Speed Limit on Interstate 295
Sec. 1. 29-A MRSA §2073, sub-§1, ¶C, as amended by PL 2011, c. 415, §2, is further amended to read:
The commissioner may not set maximums that exceed 60 miles per hour or, on the interstate system or other divided controlled-access highways, 65 miles per hour or 75 miles per hour on the Interstate Highway System , on Interstate 295, from the Town of Scarborough to the Town of West Gardiner or, on Interstate 95, from the City of Old Town to the Town of Houlton.
The commissioner may not set maximums for the Maine Turnpike.
Sec. 2. 29-A MRSA §2074, sub-§3-A, as amended by PL 2011, c. 415, §3, is further amended to read:

This bill authorizes the Commissioner of Transportation to raise the speed limit on the Interstate Highway System on Interstate 295 from the Town of Scarborough to the Town of West Gardiner to 75 miles per hour.
