Increases the number of civil violations.
The collection of additional fines may also increase General Fund revenue by minor amounts.
Fiscal Detail and Notes
This legislation requires certain individuals to pass a boating safety course prior to operating a noncommercial motorboat beginning January 1, 2014.  The Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife will require a part-time Recreational Safety Coordinator and funding for contracted clerical assistance, materials, supplies and other costs to provide these courses beginning in fiscal year 2013-14.
