| Fiscal Detail and Notes | ||||||
| This amendment eliminiates the General Fund cost of the bill of $38,405 in fiscal year 2011-12 and $34,255 in fiscal year 2012-13 associated with adding one 6 month full-time equivalent (FTE) Education Specialist I position and related costs associated with providing additional assistance to the Department of Education staff as a result of the anticipated increase in the number of schools that would participate in the summer food service program. | ||||||
| This amendment also removes the Federal Expenditures Fund cost of the bill of $92,822 in fiscal year 2012-13 that was allocated for meal reimbursements as a result of additional schools participating in the summer food service program and for the additional costs of administering the program. | ||||||
| As amended, this bill provides that a school district's participation in the summer school lunch program is optional. The additional cost to the Food Service Program within the Department of Education can not be determined at this time and will depend on the number of additional schools that choose to participate in the program in each fiscal year. | ||||||
