Joint Order Directing the Joint Standing Committee on Criminal Justice and Public Safety To Report Out a Bill Establishing a Stakeholder Group To Examine the Issues Regarding Reimbursement Rates for Housing Prisoners in the Consolidated Jail System

ORDERED, the Senate concurring, that the Joint Standing Committee on Criminal Justice and Public Safety shall report out, to the House, a bill establishing a stakeholder group to examine the issues regarding reimbursement rates for housing prisoners in the consolidated jail system. The bill must specify that the stakeholder group include representatives from local, county and state government as well as members of the public and direct that the report of the stakeholder group, together with any necessary implementing legislation, be submitted to the joint standing committee of the Legislature having jurisdiction over criminal justice matters in the First Regular Session of the 126th Legislature.
