An Act Concerning the Labeling of Maine Shellfish Products
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 12 MRSA §6005 is enacted to read:
§ 6005. Labeling shellfish
Shellfish may not be labeled as a product of Maine unless it is harvested in the waters of the State. Shellfish that is processed in the State but not harvested in the State may not be labeled as a product of Maine.
