An Act To Eliminate Penalties under the School Administrative Unit Consolidation Laws for Grand Isle School Department, Madawaska School Department, School Administrative District No. 32 and School Administrative District No. 33

Sec. 1. Waiver of penalties for nonconforming school administrative units. Notwithstanding the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 20-A, chapter 103-A and Public Law 2007, chapter 240, Part XXXX, as amended, the provisions of Title 20-A, section 15696 do not apply to:

1. Grand Isle School Department;

2. Madawaska School Department;

3. School Administrative District No. 32, serving the municipalities of Ashland, Garfield Plantation, Masardis, Oxbow Plantation and Portage Lake; and

4. School Administrative District No. 33, serving the municipalities of Frenchville and St. Agatha.
