Amend the resolve in section 2 in the 2nd line (page 1, line 33 in L.D.) by striking out the following: "16" and inserting the following: '17'

Amend the resolve in section 2 by striking out all of subsections 13 and 14 (page 2, lines 25 to 28 in L.D.) and inserting the following:

‘13. One representative of a statewide supportive housing developer, appointed by the President of the Senate;

14. One representative of a provider of services to the homeless, appointed by the President of the Senate; and

15. One representative of the board of trustees of the Midcoast Regional Redevelopment Authority, appointed by the President of the Senate.’

Amend the resolve in section 5 in the first paragraph in the last line (page 3, line 9 in L.D.) by inserting after the following: "State." the following: 'The commission shall consider both single-family and multifamily housing.'

Amend the resolve in section 8 in the 3rd and 4th lines (page 4, lines 7 and 8 in L.D.) by striking out the following: "January 17" and inserting the following: 'February 15'

Amend the resolve in section 8 in the last line (page 4, line 10 in L.D.) by striking out the following: "Legislature." and inserting the following: 'Legislature; and be it further'

Amend the resolve by adding after section 8 the following:

Sec. 9. Funding. Resolved: That the commission shall seek funding contributions to fully fund the costs of the study. All funding is subject to approval by the Legislative Council in accordance with its policies. If sufficient contributions to fund the study have not been received within 30 days after the effective date of this resolve, no meetings are authorized and no expenses of any kind may be incurred or reimbursed; and be it further

Sec. 10. Appropriations and allocations. Resolved: That the following appropriations and allocations are made.

This amendment adds a representative of the board of trustees of the Midcoast Regional Redevelopment Authority to the membership of the Blue Ribbon Commission on Affordable Housing and specifies that the commission may not receive General Fund money but may seek outside funding to fulfill the commission's duties. The amendment also adds an appropriations and allocations section.
