Amend the amendment in section 2 in §1052-C in subsection 1 in the 2nd and 3rd lines (page 1, lines 23 and 24 in amendment) by striking out the following: " and manufacturers licensed under section 1355" and inserting the following: ' , manufacturers licensed under section 1355 and certificate of approval holders under section 1361'

Amend the amendment by inserting after section 3 the following:

Sec. 4. Limited promotion of certain wine. Notwithstanding the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 28-A or any other law to the contrary, until August 1, 2011, a sales representative licensed in accordance with Title 28-A, section 1502 may provide and pour wine that is not registered with the Department of Public Safety's liquor enforcement division but has been registered with the United States Department of the Treasury, Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau at a food and beverage industry taste-testing event for the purpose of promoting that wine for distribution and sale in the State.’

Amend the amendment by relettering or renumbering any nonconsecutive Part letter or section number to read consecutively.

Committee Amendment "A" permits manufacturers and wholesalers to apply for the special food and beverage industry taste-testing event license; this amendment allows an out-of-state or foreign wholesaler and manufacturer with a certificate of approval issued by the State to also apply for the event license. This amendment allows, until August 1, 2011, a sales representative of the manufacturer of the wine to serve the sample.
