Fiscal Detail and Notes
The fiscal note reflects the incremental fiscal impact from the committee amendment after recognizing the availability of additional federal matching funds not included in the committee amendment's fiscal note, resulting in a net decrease in the General Fund impact of the bill as amended. The amended version provides an appropriation of $66,468 in 2010-11 for the costs of one Social Services Program Specialist II position established in the Division of Licensing and Regulatory Services to align the functions of the Certified Nursing Assistant Educational Programs within one department. The bill as amended still assumes a net increase in General Fund undedicated revenue of $74,185 in 2010-11 from increasing the fee charged for competency testing from $20 to $45 and for the letter of verification of completion of a certified nursing assistant program from $10 to $20.
The bill as amended includes a Federal Expenditures Fund deallocation of $52,015 in fiscal year 2010-11 to the PK-20 Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment program within the Department of Education due to one vacant Office Assistant II position being eliminated as a result of the responsibilities related to the certification of activities coordinators and Certified Nursing Assistants being transferred from the Department of Education to the Department of Health and Human Services.
