An Act To Allow a Retailer To Offer To Pay Sales Tax on Items and Services Sold by That Retailer
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 36 MRSA §1761, as amended by PL 1979, c. 541, Pt. A, §221, is repealed.
SUMMARY
This bill repeals the law that prohibits a retailer from advertising or offering to pay or refund to a consumer the tax imposed on the sale of goods and services.
