Amend the bill by inserting after the enacting clause and before section 1 the following:
‘Sec. 1. 7 MRSA §1051, sub-§4, as enacted by PL 2007, c. 602, §3, is amended to read:
Amend the bill in section 1 in subsection 2-A by adding at the end the following new sentence: ' The commissioner shall provide aggregate data on sales of genetically engineered trees, tree seedlings, tree seeds, tree scions and other propagative materials to the Department of Conservation, Bureau of Forestry.'
Amend the bill by relettering or renumbering any nonconsecutive Part letter or section number to read consecutively.

This amendment directs the Commissioner of Agriculture, Food and Rural Resources to provide the Department of Conservation, Bureau of Forestry with aggregate information on sales of trees, tree seedlings, tree seeds, tree scions and other propagative materials that are genetically engineered. It also corrects a cross-reference.
