Fiscal Detail and Notes
Allowing the sale of certain state-owned armories would increase dedicated revenue collected by the Department of Defense, Veterans and Emergency Management for the Capital Repair Account; the amounts will depend on any negotiated sale price and cannot be determined at this time.  In addition, the sale of any state-owned armories will result in General Fund savings from maintenance costs that would no longer need to be met.
Various changes that narrow eligibility of family members of veterans for free education at the state's post-secondary institutions may result in savings to the institutions.  Adding certificate programs to the available options may result in costs.  The final fiscal impact will depend on the number of veterans' family members attending public post-secondary institutions and can not be determined at this time.
Expanding the allowable uses of the Dam Repair and Reconstruction fund for certain emergencies would increase expenditures from the fund; the amounts will depend on the frequency and severity of applicable emergencies which cannot be predicted at this time.
