Fiscal Note
Potential future biennium cost increase - General Fund
Fiscal Detail and Notes
All state-owned buildings already use electricity supplied by renewable resources.  Requiring the same in state-leased buildings may result in undetermined future biennium cost increases to require landlords to make major investments or to move state offices to other facilities.  It is currently unknown which leased facilities use renewable energy.  The additional costs associated with developing a plan related to renewable resources can be absorbed by the State Planning Office utilizing existing budgeted resources.
