Resolve, To Direct the Department of Health and Human Services To Exclude Veterans Education Assistance from Income in Determining Eligibility for the Food Stamp Program

Sec. 1. Income for determining food stamps eligibility. Resolved: That the Department of Health and Human Services shall modify all state rules necessary to result in educational benefits from the United States Department of Veterans Affairs being excluded in computing household income under the eligibility requirements for the federal food stamp program pursuant to the United States Farm Security and Rural Investment Act of 2002, Section 4102, including, but not limited to, rules related to Medicaid and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families.
