Sec. F-1. Report regarding Fund for a Healthy Maine. The Joint Standing Committee on Health and Human Services shall meet to consider the structure, accountability and appropriate level of legislative and independent oversight of the Fund for a Healthy Maine, established in the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 22, section 1511. The committee shall report back to the Joint Standing Committee on Appropriations and Financial Affairs by October 1, 2008 with recommendations, including necessary implementing legislation, for the structure, accountability and appropriate level and type of oversight of the Fund for a Healthy Maine.

The joint standing committee of the Legislature having jurisdiction over health and human services matters may submit a bill to the First Regular Session of the 124th Legislature implementing the provisions of the report.’
