Amend the bill by striking out everything after the enacting clause and before the summary and inserting the following:

‘Sec. 1. 36 MRSA §1760, sub-§7-D  is enacted to read:

7-D.  Water used in commercial agricultural crop production.   Sales of water for use in the commercial production of an agricultural crop.

This subsection is repealed August 1, 2011.

Sec. 2. Effective date. This Act takes effect August 1, 2008.’

This amendment changes the effective date of the bill to August 1, 2008 and provides for the repeal of the exemption after 3 years.
