An Act Concerning the Transport of Inmates in the Custody of the Sheriff
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 30-A MRSA §1501, sub-§4 is enacted to read:
4. Transport of prisoners. The sheriff’s custody and charge of a prisoner in a county jail under this section includes the authority to transport a prisoner to or from a court if that prisoner’s presence is required in the court.
