Amend the amendment in Part XXXX in section 13 in §1461 in subsection 3 in paragraph B in subparagraph (1) in division (e) in the first line (page 754, line 8 in amendment) by striking out the following: " or"

Amend the amendment in Part XXXX in section 13 in §1461 in subsection 3 in paragraph B in subparagraph (1) in division (f) in the last line (page 754, line 12 in amendment) by striking out the following: " students." and inserting the following: ' students; or'

Amend the amendment in Part XXXX in section 13 in §1461 in subsection 3 in paragraph B in subparagraph (1) by inserting after division (f) the following:

(g) If after performing due diligence to develop a regional plan that meets the 2,500 student enrollment goal, a school administrative unit is unable to achieve the enrollment goal when geographically proximate units decide to participate in a different regional school unit.

Amend the amendment by relettering or renumbering any nonconsecutive Part letter or section number to read consecutively.

This amendment specifically includes as one of the factors justifying an exception to the minimum size requirement for a regional school unit of 2,500 students the situation in which a school administrative unit is unable to achieve the 2,500 student enrollment goal because geographically proximate units have chosen to participate in other regional school units.
