An Act To Exempt Emergency Vehicles from Tolls on the Maine Turnpike
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 23 MRSA §1984 is enacted to read:
§ 1984. Emergency services
If a municipality provides emergency services to the authority, then an emergency vehicle of that municipality is exempt from paying tolls on the turnpike regardless of the reason the vehicle is using the turnpike. For purposes of this section, "emergency services" has the same meaning as in Title 30-A, section 451, subsection 5.
